Professor Jules Hoffmann, 2011 Nobel Prize Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, Member of French Academy of Sciences, Honorary Director of the Sino-French Hoffmann Institute of Immunology, and Professor Dominique Ferrandon, distinguished professor of Guangzhou Medical University, visited GMU on December 8th, 2015.

Prof. Hoffmann and Prof. Dominique Ferrandon visited new labs of the Sino-French Hoffmann Institute of Immunology with director Prof.Tao Peng. Prof. Hoffmann fully affirmed the achievements which the Institute has attained for such a short time. He also gave instructions and suggestions for the development and the research areas of the Institute. And Thereupon Professor Hoffmann attended a symposium hosted by GMU. Experts and PIs from The Institute of Biophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Sino-French Hoffmann Institute of Immunology gave presentations on Innate Immunity, Infection Immunity and Tumor Immunity. Prof. Hoffmann had in-depth discussion with every speaker. His insights and knowledge were enlightening for all the audience.
