Recently, China’s 2017 Top Ten Scientific and Technological Progress in Institutes of Higher Learning was announced by the Ministry of Education in Beijing. The project entitled “Early Intervention in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease”, led by Prof. Ran Pixin, director of the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Diseases at Guangzhou Medical University, was selected . It is the only project selected from Guangdong Province, and the only medical project selected.
