Recently, the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WFOT) has reviewed and accredited Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy program at GMU. The program will be approved until 2027, when it will go through its next review.
WFOT is the most prestigious international organization in the field of occupational therapy. The accreditation standards set by WFOT are recognized as the most important and most fundamental in the education of occupational therapists. GMU is the first university in South China that has won the approval from WFOT in an undergraduate program. This means that the occupational therapy program at GMU is recognized by the international professional organization. Graduation from the program can confer qualification for further study in the field of occupational therapy worldwide and also help the eligibility for graduates to enter the examination for occupational therapy practice in some countries.
