Recently, statistics of Essential Science Indicators (ESI) were updated in November 2022. The ranking of our university broke a new record, with Clinical Medicine reaching top 1‰ in ESI Global Ranking, ranked 559 out of 5630 listed institutions in the world.

In addition, Materials Science in GMU entered the top 1% in the international ranking for the first time. Up to now, GMU owns 9 disciplines in the top 1% of the world, including Clinical Medicine, Pharmacology&Toxicology, Molecular Biology & Genetics,Biology&Biochemistry,Immunology,Neuroscience&Behavior Microbiology, Psychiatry / Psychology, and Materials Science.
