Uzbek Consul-General in Guangzhou Visited GMU
On the afternoon of April 23, Mr. Otabek Valiev, Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou, and Consul Ernazarov Rakhmon visited GMU to explore new educational cooperation opportunities. They were warmly greeted by President, Professor Zhao Xingcun, and Vice President, Professor Li Jianhua.
During the meeting, Vice President Li Jianhua first expressed their welcome to Consul General Valiev and his delegation. She then gave a brief introduction to GMU’s history, educational scale, international student recruitment policies, and international exchange and cooperation programs. She emphasized that under the joint framework of the leaders of the two countries, GMU looks forward to broader cooperation with Uzbekistan in areas such as faculty and student exchanges and academic research.
Consul General Valiev expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and stated that this visit not only deepened mutual understanding between the two sides but also laid a solid foundation for future cooperation. He anticipated further exchanges and cooperation in the fields of medical education and health care between the two countries through short-term faculty and student exchange programs and clinical medicine programs.
