On April 30, a delegation from Charles Sturt University, Australia, along with representatives from the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, visited GMU. The visitors from the Australian side include Prof. Allen Ross, Director of Rural Health Research Institute, Prof. Jing Sun, Chair of Biostatistics of Rural Health and Medicine Research Institute, and Mr. Fan Jiang, Director of Australia China Culture and Education Exchange.
Vice President Jianhua Li warmly welcomed the guests. She stressed that our university attaches great importance to international cooperation and expressed the hope that this exchange would serve as an opportunity for both parties to explore new cooperation opportunities. She suggested that by focusing on specific projects, both institutions could leverage their strengths to achieve mutual benefits and a win-win situation.
Professors Allen Ross and Jing Sun provided an overview of Charles Sturt University and introduced the current research directions of their research team. They hope to establish a friendly cooperative relationship with our university, covering a wide range of areas such as joint scientific research projects, joint Ph.D. training programs, and mutual visits for faculty and students.
The two sides then engaged in detailed discussions regarding the signing of an agreement and the specific areas of scientific research collaboration. These discussions resulted in a preliminary consensus.
