Delegation from Charles Darwin University, Australia Visited GMU

On October 29th, Scott Bowman AO, President of Charles Darwin University, Australia, and Shannon Holborni and Steve Rogers, Vice-Presidents, visited Guangzhou Medical University (GMU). They were received by GMU president Zhao Xingcun, Vice presidents Hu Bingjie and Li Jianhua. Representatives from the International Office, Academic Affairs Office,  Office of Scientific Research, Graduate School, School of Health Management, School of Nursing and the Fifth Clinical School also attended the meeting.


President Zhao Xingcun warmly welcomed the guests. He stressed that the meeting has created opportunities for multi-faceted cooperation between the two universities. He looked forward to making full use of their respective advantages in future exchanges and cooperation, and providing a broader development platform for students.


The delegation of Charles Darwin University appreciated GMU’s the advanced research equipment, experimental facilities and charming campus environment, and looked forward to the greater potential for cooperation between the two sides in the sharing of educational resources and cultivating talent .


The two sides then engaged in detailed discussions regarding the specific areas of student exchange and scientific research collaboration. These discussions resulted in a preliminary consensus.
