From August 26th to 27th, 2024, a delegation from the School of Stomatology, Guangzhou Medical University(GMU), visited the Faculty of Dentistry at The University of Hong Kong and the Faculty of Medicine at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

GMU signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Dentistry of The University of Hong Kong

The delegation received a warm welcome and visited different facilities at the Faculty of Dentistry of The University of Hong Kong. The two sides discussed cooperation in talent development, academic exchanges, scientific research platform, clinical research, and the translation of research outcomes. They signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which marked a crucial advancement in their cooperation.

In addition, the delegation from GMU School of Stomatology also visited the Faculty of Medicine at the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and held a meeting with Professor Qin Ling, a fellow of the European Academy of Sciences. Professor Qin warmly welcomed the delegation and provided constructive suggestions on future directions for research collaboration. He particularly emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation in the field of oral biomaterials research and expressed his hope that the two institutions could jointly address a series of scientific challenges unique to the field of dentistry, advancing the practical application of related research outcomes.

This exchange activity not only deepened the understanding and ties between Guangzhou Medical University and the Hong Kong universities but also laid a solid foundation for further collaboration in the field of dentistry.
