KingMed College of Laboratory Medicine, founded in 2013, is a collaborative & innovative education unit between Guangzhou Medical University and KingMed Diagnostics, the first commercial clinical laboratory in China that possesses the ISO/IEC17025, ISO15189, and CAP certificates. In China, the College is the first one to offer comprehensive training programs for undergraduates, graduates, and postdoctoral fellows in laboratory medicine and medical technology through collaboration between the university and enterprise. The mission of KingMed College of Laboratory Medicine is to train medical laboratory professionals with advanced technologies in a variety of fields such as cytogenetics, molecular genetics, clinical genomics, metabolomics, clinical microbiology, clinical immunology, clinical biochemistry, special chemistry, and molecular diagnostics.
The program of medical laboratory sciences at KingMed College of Laboratory Medicine is a national one that offers bachelor's degree, master's degree and doctoral degree. The graduates go to work at hospitals, centers for disease control, blood centers, commercial labs, medical colleges and biomedical research institutions, and they perform very well in their work.
