II. Admission Requirements

1. Applicants for Master program must have bachelor’s degree with the same major subject, and be under the age of 35; Applicants for PhD program must have master’s degree with the same major subject, and be under the age of 40;

2. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport;

3. Applicants should be physically and mentally healthy, and meet the medical examination standards for applying for a study visa or residence permit in China;

4. Chinese requirement: HSK 4 or above.

III. Application Procedures and Dates

Log in Guangzhou Medical University International Student Service System (https://gzhmu.at0086.cn/Student) to complete the online application, and upload the required application materials.

Application Dates: April 1, 2024 — June 30, 2024

IV. Application Materials

1. Scanned copy of valid passport’s information page;

2. Notarized copy of highest academic degree certificate or graduation diploma and transcripts (Graduating students should provide pre-graduation certificate issued by the authorities of the school, and provide the copy of graduation diploma when registration);

3. The transcript of the university and language certificate (HSK);

4. Two recommendation letters: The referee should be professor or associate professor;

5. Study plan in China. Above 1000 words for master candidates, above 1500 words for PhD candidates. The content should include (but not limited to) study and work experience, academic research achievement, planned research proposal, and career plan after graduation, etc in Chinese or in English;

6. List and abstracts of published papers or other materials demonstrating research abilities;

7. ID photo (2-inch blue background photo without hats);

8. English or Chinese self-introduction video (3-5 minutes, no more than 50M);

9. Scanned copy of Foreigner’s Physical Examination Form;

10. If the applicant is working, please Notarized Carrier Certificate made by the institution where you are working. Other documents may certify your professional and personal background should be helpful;

11. Financial Guarantee Letter and scanned copies of its supporting documents completed in Chinese or English.

V. Charging Standard

1. Tuition: RMB 30,000/academic year;

2. Accommodation fee: Panyu campus: RMB 6,000/person/academic year; Yuexiu campus: RMB 4,000/person/academic year

3. Other fees including textbook costs, board expenses, medical expenses, utility bills, drinking water charges, internet charges, medical insurance expenses, visa extension expenses, etc. shall be paid accordingly by the international students.

VI. Review and Admission

1. Guangzhou Medical University will review all the application materials.

2. The university will adopt Interview for assessment according to the situation and requirements of the applicants. The time will be published by the School of International Education till further notice.

3. The pre-admission result is generally announced within one month after the application. Applicants can check the admission result on the system, and applicants must pay the tuition fee in advance within the deadline for confirmation; Otherwise, the pre-admission qualification is deemed to be abandoned.

4. Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) are fully electronic from 2023 onwards, and will be sent to the email address that the applicant has filled in on the application system. Please download it from your computer in time.

VII. Admission Date

Students should register in September 2024, and the specific time shall be subject to the date marked on the Admission Notice.
