
Guangzhou Medical University (GMU) held a matriculation ceremony on November 24 to officially welcome its MBBS Class of 2025, an event attended by Vice President Li Jianhua and other faculty members.

Abdul Rehman from Pakistan, speaking on behalf of the Class of 2025, shared his aspiration to pursue medical studies at GMU, drawn by China's cultural richness and advancements in medicine.

Hamidreza Danehzan from Iran, an upper-year student, provided guidance for campus life, encouraging new students to prioritize well-being and approach their studies with confidence.

Professor Liu Xiang inspired students to embrace challenges, dedicate themselves to their studies, and cultivate empathy throughout their academic and clinical training.

In a symbolic gesture, Vice President Li Jianhua presented GMU badges to student representatives, marking their formal entry into the university community.


The ceremony also honored recipients of the Guangdong Provincial Government Scholarship, with certificates presented by distinguished guests.

Vice President Li extended a warm welcome and shared three expectations for the students: to master the Chinese language and culture, to remain perpetually curious, and to become future bridges of cooperation between their home countries and China.

The event underscored GMU's commitment to fostering globally competent medical professionals through its international education programs.
